Handyman-Replace Subflooring for Elderly Woman
Public -by Don Greenland  |  Handyman Services

Volunteers will assist a poor elderly grandmother living in a very old mobile home with significant safety issues.  Chores include temporarily removing furniture & contents, tear out rotten wood subflooring in several areas, install new wood floor framing and blocking as needed, and install new plywood subflooring.

Bring basic carpentry tools, screw guns, etc.  Dust masks, work gloves, and knee pads may also be needed (if you have them).

This project is outside of our normal local geographic area.  The home is approx. 25 miles West of Clinton out in the woods at 105 Winding Road, Jerusalem, AR  72080.  The site has limited area for trucks to navigate.  Therefore, carpooling will be necessary.  Robert Massery is the project foreman.

Volunteers will gather in the parking lot in front of St. Joseph Church in Conway.  Carpool arrangements will be worked out there.  Trucks will depart Conway at 7:00 a.m. and arrive at the worksite around 8:30 a.m.  Depending on volunteers, work should be completed by 3:30 p.m. or earlier, with arrival back in Conway by 5:00 p.m. or earlier.  Drivers may be reimbursed for their fuel (please keep receipts).

*Special note:  please pack your own lunch, snacks, and any special drinks.  Water will be available.
