“As a Church, we are called to evangelize and bring the good news to the world. Each one of us has a story to tell about how Christ has changed our lives. St. Paul Street Evangelization will give you the tools you need to articulate your relationship with Christ to a hungry, broken world.” – Jeff Cavins
On Saturday, April 12, St. Paul Street Evangelization (SPSE) will be teaching a free Basic Evangelization Training (BET) course at the Spiritan Center (Room 202). The aim of this training course is to equip willing participants with basic tools to evangelize. Beyond the most basic knowledge of your catholic faith and a love of Christ, there are no expectations or pre-requisites. If you are willing to share your love of Our Lord and His church with your neighbors, this is for you! Here is a link to the flyer for the training course: BET 4-12-25. You are not required to register through the flyer QR code (if you sign up through Duplie). However, if you choose to also register through the flyer, that will help SPSE, so please consider doing so.
At the end of the course there will be an optional "live lab" where the instructor will lead willing participants in a boots on the ground street evangelization training experience at Simon Park. This will be a passive yet passionate evangelization exercise where small teams will get to engage with the area using the techniques taught in class. One goal of this course is to prepare for a future ministry that the St. Joseph's Missions Outreach group wants to offer for willing volunteers that have received the Basic Evangelization Training - that is, to be a Catholic evangelist with a small team at a booth or table, setup at local event venues throughout the year, where people can stop by and learn about the Catholic faith.
This is a very short video put out by SPSE that is insightful: https://youtu.be/_jwyDgTEqFw?si=59j_UgS5X2-pX_mG.
Please join us on Saturday April 12 and let's learn to share with the world one of the greatest treasures we possess...the Christian faith in it's fullest form.
